Iranian Crude Oil Reached to the U.S. in March 2021

As per the trusted reports, a cargo containing 1.033 barrels of crude oil from Iran reached the U.S. shores in March this year, as stated by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), which further stated that it is the second shipment of Iranian oil that has been imported in the U.S. since the year 1991.

Reportedly, the cargo was registered in the data released by the EIA the previous week for the month, which followed the seizure by the U.S. authorities of the Liberian-f, the tanker Achilleas, which contained the Iranian crude oil for the transport to the U.S.

Iranian Crude Oil Reached to the U.S. in March 2021No other details were included in the EIA report based on the Iranian cargo, and they couldn’t be asked for the comment that was over the U.S. office hours as Monday is a holiday in the United States.As per the data released by the EIA, United States made a record of importing 3,000 barrels of Iranian crude and petroleum per day for the month of October 2020. Further, the data also stated that the oil was seized by Washington under its sanctions program.

The data released about the shipping of Iranian crude oil showed the Achilleas discharged its cargo at the U.S. Gulf port of Galveston in March 2021.This was after when there were tough economic sanctions that were imposed by Washington on Tehran in consideration of its nuclear program and the U.S. designation of several Iranian groups of terrorist organizations. However, Iran rejects the accusations of terrorism in the U.S.
